How do I post a story? Log into MightyMercury.com. From you profile page, click on the "Mighty Mercury Dashboard" link.You will be taken to your Mighty Mercury dashboard. Look for a button labeled "Write New Entry". Click on the button.The Mighty Merucry editor will now pop up and you can go ahead and write your new entry. From here you can also insert a picture or embed a video (see below for instrucitons)
IMPORTANT: When pasting a story the was originally composed in MSWord or other word processing program, Please use the paste from word button (pic) on the top of your editor. This will keep styles like bold and italic while removing other formating that can be problematic on the site
How do I edit or delete a story not yet live on the site? To edit an existing entry, simply go to your Mighty Mercury dashboard and you shall see by default the list of entries written by you. Next to each article is an "edit" and a "delete" button. Clicking on the "edit" button will call up the Mighty Mercury editor with the corresponding article in it for you to edit. The "delete" button will of course delete the entry. Once a story is live on the site you will need to contact the editors directly (link to email) to make changes or delete a story.
How do I insert a picture or a link to a document? You can add images to your entries from the Mighty Mercury editor. First, put the cursor in the text where you want the image to appear. Then, simply click to open the "Images and document" tab and then upload the picture. After uploading, simply click on the thumbnail of the picture you wanted and the picture will be automatically added to the post.
IMPORANT: The only type of image file the system supports at this time is a .jpg Also, please upload images that have been sized for use on the Internet. Any image that is too large will automatically be resized.
Note: If you wish to wish to link to a pdf or word document, you will follow the same procedure, only you will be uploading the document instead of an image.
How do I embed a video? To add videos to your post, simply click on the "Embed Videos" tab and there you can set its width, height (300 x 200 px will be the default) and then simply enter the URL of the video. Click enter and you are set.

What are tags and how do they work? Mighty Mercury organizes it post by the use of Tags. Keywords that you can assign as reference for each post. Afterwards, you can use the tags to organize your posts.
Tagging Your Post: To tag your post, simply look at the "Tags" tab in your editor. Click on it and you will get to the Tags interface where you will see a list of available tags with a tickbox next to each. Simple tick the box next to the tag you want to tag your article with and you are done. There is also an input field and an "Add" button to add new tags. Type the tag in the field and press "Add" to add it in.
Troubleshooting Common Problems
1.The formating of the text in my story is all messed up or the story appear completely blank. The most common cause of this is that you pasted your story from MSWord and did not use the paste from word button (pic). Please open the story from the story manager. Then delete all of the text in the the main text box. Re-paste the story from you original Word document using the paste from word feature. Click save. If this does not fix the problem please contact us (link to email).
2.I'm unable to upload an image or document, or a photo appears incorrectly on the site. Please make sure the the file is supported by our system. Right now, only jpgs .doc and .pdf are the only supported file types.
3.I'm unable to embed a video. Please make sure that the video is a supported format.
