The Wolf's Menstruation- An E-Chapbook

1
There was a wolf in the forest. He might have been a man. Or a werewolf. Whatever the case, he howled with a human voice. But there was fur along his back. When the red girl came, he pounced. But not because he was hungry.

2
The wolf fed the girl from the cupboard. She thought she was eating grandmother's meat. The steaks were warm and gamy. She struggled through
them with her canines. Pushing aside a curtain, she noticed the grand matriarch's whole body sitting upright in an old chair. The girl looked at the purplish meat again. A blood stain spread over the wolf's torso. He cried when  she poked the hole with her index finger. She ate from the wound while he bit into the window frames.

3
If she were a wolf, the wolf thought, then she might hate him. She might throw him off the pathway and eat the grandmother herself before settling down before the genitals of another little girl. Then he would never get a bite. He would always be running from her. When he tried to make love to her, he would get all the fur stuck in between his teeth. It would be like licking himself. He would take the hood and knife for what it was. The girl was not a wolf and so he loved her as a wolf could love his prey.

4
The girl cut through his penis and cast the member aside. He lost the scent to a puddle and sat on a stone, wounded. The castration gushed freely onto the ground, wetting his paws. The girl put her knife away. Now you have a period. Now I can sniff you, she said and pushed her nose into his abdomen. The pressure burned. Her face came away wet. He lay back and watched the blood pulse out of him. The girl removed a napkin from her bra cup and folded it several times. She pushed the fabric into the mutilated penis. You will have to keep this against you for a week to soak up the blood. Then you will be dry for twenty-one more days before I return to make you bleed again, she said and strapped the sanitary napkin to his furred pelvis.

5
Grandmother pushed the wolf away and set him up over a fire. He hung over the boiling pot and sobbed as his fur melted. The cauldron caught the many drops. He thickened the stew. The girl watched from a corner. A woodsman was working an ax blade  around her torso and revealing the perfectly painted organs inside while the girl gasped with each stroke.

6
He should have known what the hood meant. In the years before, when she had gone naked or with a different color cloak, he hadn't cared. He had sniffed her buttocks and run off, uninterested. Then she returned with the red and he followed after her, whining until she reached back and pet behind his ears. She bent over at the waist and let him pull the capes to the side. I thought you would never be ready, she said and when he breathed, she smelled strongly of prime rib. He sobbed and pressed into her. He stabbed her and she stabbed him back, this time with a knife below the rib cage, just as the mother had told her to do.

7
Red always looked so happy after returning from the forest with blood smeared across her face. The mother grew jealous. The fat husband-figure wanted to look at nude women in yellow and blue hoods instead of her own light burgundy. The mother followed her girl back into the woods and climbed a tree. She put on the red hood she had stolen from her daughter's drawer. The girl walked another mile and stopped. She lay down and spread her legs. The whore, the mother said. A wolf came. The mother wanted to scream. He buried his nose into the girl's stomach and stayed in that position for a time, sniffing and licking until the girl screamed and pushed him back. The wolf walked away and the girl left the forest. The mother climbed down and walked to the spot her daughter had stopped in. She flopped back and spread her limbs. She whistled nervously, hoping the wolf would return. Soon, she saw the canine head hover over her. He sniffed her mouth and breasts. Stopping at her genitals, he opened his jaws. What the mother had thought would be pleasure was instead a biting mess so that when she pushed him back, her labia was ripped off her body and tossed to the ground. You are too old, the wolf said and ran away. Behind the brutalized mother, the girl laughed and stole her hood back.

8
There was a pot set up in the clearing. The grandmother sat inside of it, her head shaved and the locks covering the ground. The wolf made a fire and boiled her until she was medium rare. Little Red skipped over. She pulled at the grandmother's ear and tasted the lobe. Salt, she said and the wolf grated his paws over the meat. The girl tasted again and sat on the floor. Delicious, she said. You are a wonderful chef. They ate the entire grandma and left her still-warm bones for the crows.

9
One morning, the girl woke up with terrible cramps. When she clenched her abdomen, clots fell out of her and absorbed into her bed. She sobbed. The wolf leaped through the closet door and grabbed hold of her. She pointed to the uterine pieces. I have lost the baby, she said and the wolf shook his tail until the bone snapped off. This is your fault, he yelled at his pelvis and broke his erection in half.

10
Red got tired of the periods between the wolf and man. Either he had naked skin or he had fur. She was tired of waiting for transitions and transformations. She waited until the wolfman was asleep and grated his tail. She collected the dust on a plate so she could eat it up. He didn't wake until she was already grating the middle section of his spinal column. Then he howled a loud fuck and tried to turn around to grab her. His hands were already gone. He snapped and cursed but Red continued grating. She left his head intact. She ate the pieces as he watched. She sprouted fur in between her legs and under her arms. The wolf howled miserably. Now I will torture you like you tortured me, she said. She foamed the pubis with shaving cream but did not  shave until the wolf passed out from anticipation.
